PACU - Post Anesthesia Care

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PACU

Job Details:

• Night shift schedule from 7:30 PM to 8:00 AM, Friday through Sunday
• Holiday coverage may be required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Patient ratio of 2 patients to 1 nurse
• Possibility to float to other PACUs within the facility as needed
• Minimum 2 years of PACU or critical care experience required
• ICU experience preferred; experience recovering vascular and cardiac patients preferred
• First-time travelers are not accepted
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Charting system: Epic (experience required)
• Patient age groups: Adults and Geriatrics
• Daily census of approximately 30 patients across 12 beds/rooms
• Interdisciplinary support available including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Lift Teams, Rapid Response Teams, and Pharmacy
• Required skills: Care of Ventilated Patient, Dysrhythmia recognition/management, Triage, Charge Nurse Experience
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Required license: South Carolina or Multi-State RN license
