RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Varied work schedule with weekend and holiday requirements
• Float per facility guidelines
• Current, valid RN license in state of practice required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting required
• Experience must include working in an acute care setting within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in the specialty area
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care of patients
• Provide direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of healthcare team activities
• Complete patient assessments and reassessments according to patient needs and policy guidelines
• Formulate and implement plans of care including discharge planning
• Document assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in patient records
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members
• Provide patient and family education
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
• Requires physical agility to respond to unexpected patient care needs
• Must use standard precautions due to exposure to blood and bodily fluids
