RN Medicine - Pediatrics - FS

Job Details:

• Work with pediatric patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
• Weekend and holiday requirements
• Must have Level 1 Trauma experience
• Float to all children's units including acute care, surgical, behavioral health, medical specialty (GI, neuro, respiratory), hematology oncology, step down unit, and cardiac pediatrics
• Experience required with tracheostomy care and high flow oxygen therapy
• Must be familiar with infusion therapy and serve as first line for skills
• May float to NICU for feeder growers and low acuity patients only
• Assume responsibility for assigned group of patients
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
• Assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Monitor physiological data and intervene when necessary
• Administer medications as prescribed and manage IV infusions and blood products
• Interact with families regarding care plans and discharge instructions
• Delegate tasks to support staff
• Required: 1 year of nursing experience, current Oklahoma RN license or multistate compact license, BLS and PALS certification
• Associate's degree in nursing from accredited program required
