Med Surg RN Job in Cartersville, GA

You will work as a Registered Nurse on a 20-bed Medical Surgical unit at Piedmont Cartersville Medical Center in Cartersville, Georgia. This is a travel nursing assignment lasting 84 days, beginning June 29, 2026, with a weekly pay rate of $1,814.40.

Schedule and Expectations

• 3 x 12-hour night shifts per week
• Every other weekend required
• No call responsibilities
• Maximum 7 days RTO allowed per contract
• Holiday work required based on assignment overlap (work 1 if 1 falls, 2 if 2 fall, or 2 of 3 if 3 fall during your tenure)

Clinical Requirements

• Patient ratio of 5:1 on days, nights, and weekends
• Care for adult and geriatric patients
• Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Skills include feeding tube care, heparin administration, telemetry monitoring, IV management, PICC line care, wound care, and PCA management
• 6 hours of orientation provided

Credentials and Experience

• Georgia state or Compact nursing license required at time of submission
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Community hospital and trauma level experience preferred

Full compliance with all documentation is required to start on time. All documents must be submitted by the Tuesday prior to your June 29, 2026 start date.
