Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Float to similar units is required if needed
• Weekend coverage every other weekend, may change based on need
• Patient ratios: 6 patients during days, 7 patients during nights and weekends
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg Tele experience required
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Active RN Tennessee license required
• Medication system: Omnicell
• Special procedures include post heart cath and bedside procedures such as dialysis cath, thoracentesis, and I&D
• Required skills include blood product administration, central line care and management, interpretation of dysrhythmias, heparin protocols, cardiac drip management, pre and post hemodialysis management, wound care and wound vac, PICC line management, PCA, peripheral line care and management, feeding tube care and management, starting and maintaining IVs, nasal cannula and oxygen administration, isolation precautions and PPE, and continuous bladder irrigation
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics with general medical, pre-op, and post-op diagnoses
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
