PICU RN Job in Oklahoma City, OK

You will provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at OU Health in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This is a 12-hour shift position available for an 89-week assignment starting September 14, 2026.

Position Requirements:

• Current RN licensure
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• Level I trauma experience required
• ICU experience required

Your Responsibilities:

• Deliver nursing care to pediatric patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
• Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients and monitor their progress
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
• Track all changes in physician orders for assigned patients
• Assist physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures and treatments
• Obtain and monitor physiological data, observing manifestations and intervening when necessary
• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patient response
• Initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products
• Deliver competent, consistent patient care
• Communicate with patients and families to share care plans during hospitalization and at discharge
• Inform patients and families of hospital procedures
• Make appropriate referrals regarding patient care needs
• Delegate tasks to support staff as needed

You will work 12-hour shifts and earn $2,930.40 weekly. This assignment runs for 89 weeks, providing stable employment and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in pediatric critical care.
