RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Minimum 2 years medical/surgical nursing experience required
• BLS certification from AHA required
• ACLS certification optional
• New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license required
• Coordinate and implement patient care specific to the age of patient population served
• Ensure quality care is provided in an efficient and safe manner
• Demonstrate performance consistent with unit standards of care
• Communicate in a clear, concise manner appropriate to developmental age of patients
• Handle emergency/crisis situations with prolonged standing and walking
• Perform heavy physical effort to position, push, and transfer patients or equipment
• Work in bloodborne pathogen environment with exposure to infectious diseases and x-rays
• Maintain manual dexterity and fine motor coordination for patient care
• Flexible schedule required due to unexpected changes and emergencies
