Med Surg RN Job in Lancaster, SC

You'll work a 12-week assignment as a Registered Nurse in Medical Surgical at MUSC Health - Lancaster. This position offers 4x12 night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with consideration for 3x12 schedules. You'll care for adult and geriatric patients with an assigned ratio of 1:6 to 1:7.

What You'll Do

• Provide direct patient care including post-surgical monitoring, wound care, and management of chronic conditions such as CHF, COPD, diabetes, and pneumonia
• Manage colostomy and ileostomy care, feeding tube administration, and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Chart in the Epic system and attend required staff meetings
• Float within scope to meet facility needs
• Potentially serve on emergency response teams during hurricane season (June-November)

What You'll Bring

• Current South Carolina or Compact license
• 3 years of nursing experience with documented travel experience
• Med-Surg experience; telemetry experience preferred
• Active BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications
• Ability to complete assigned modules before your start date (approximately 4 hours)

Schedule Details

• Every other weekend requirement
• No on-call responsibilities
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Royal blue scrubs required
