ICU - Intensive Care Unit

Job Details:

• Night shift position working 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (36 or 48 hours per week)
• Weekend coverage required
• Block scheduling type
• 3 years of experience required
• LTAC ICU experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• 1 year minimum experience with Epic EMR required
• Staff will work both the 12-bed ICU and 35-bed Med-Surg unit
• Float requirement to Med-Surg at a 1:5 patient ratio
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics (18 years and older)
• Patient diagnoses include vent weaning, wound care, spinal cord injury, and trach/PEG
• Required skills include arterial line management, IV vasopressors, continuous IV sedation, mechanical ventilation modes, tracheostomy care, central line care/management, chest tubes, interpretation of dysrhythmias, and management of dysrhythmias, among others
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretary
