CVICU RN Job in Great Falls, MT

You will work nights in a 10-bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit at Great Falls Clinic Medical Center, caring for immediate post-operative open heart patients and hemodynamically stable or predictably unstable cardiac patients. This role requires recent open heart recovery nurse experience and the ability to provide direct care from day one.

Your responsibilities include:

• Provide direct patient care to diverse populations including post-PCI, pacemaker, revascularization, carotid endarterectomy, thoracotomy, CHF, COPD, DKA, renal failure, DVT, PE, and sepsis patients
• Operate advanced medical equipment including central lines, chest tubes, nasogastric tubes, continuous bladder irrigation, A-lines, and multiple IVs
• Care for patients requiring short-term ventilation support and both noninvasive and invasive ventilatory support
• Perform basic cardiac telemetry and EKG interpretation
• Manage discharge planning from admission through patient discharge
• Act as clinical leader and assist with precepting staff
• Implement established policies and procedures with minimal supervision

Required Qualifications:

• Current Montana RN License
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• High school diploma and degree from accredited nursing program

Preferred Qualifications:

• Critical care and CVICU experience
• Open heart experience

This is a 91-day assignment starting May 15, 2026. You will earn $2,628 per week working night shifts.
