About this role
Join ThedaCare – Neenah as a Registered Nurse on our 16-bed Neurology unit. This is an 11-week travel contract offering competitive compensation and the chance to expand your clinical expertise in stroke care and post-operative neurosurgical patients.
Role Overview
You will work three 12-hour day shifts per week, from 5:30 AM to 6:00 PM, with 36 guaranteed hours weekly. You'll care for patients on a 1:4 ratio, supported by 4–5 RNs and 2 patient care technicians per shift. Your patients will include stroke survivors and those recovering from spinal and brain surgeries, as well as trauma patients with traumatic brain injury (TBI).
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on the post-stroke and trauma neurology unit
- Monitor and manage patients post-operative spinal, brain, and cervical procedures
- Document care in EPIC charting system
- Participate in every-other-weekend rotations and holiday rotations as needed
- Float within your skillset throughout the facility and within a 60-mile radius as requested
- Complete an 8-hour unbillable orientation
Requirements
- Current Wisconsin RN license (or compact license accepted)
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
- NIHSS certification
- Minimum 3+ years of RN experience
- At least one previous travel nursing contract
- ICU or intermediate care (IMC) experience strongly preferred
- EPIC charting experience within the past year strongly preferred
- Experience with stroke and post-operative back, spine, or cervical procedures desired
- Associate degree or certificate in nursing
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- Black scrubs required
Contract Details
Start date: June 22, 2026. Duration: 11 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,332.80. No on-call or callback required. Any missed shifts must be made up within two weeks of absence.
