PCU RN Job in Denver, CO

HCA HealthONE Swedish CO is seeking a registered nurse for their Progressive Care Unit (PCU) located in Denver, Colorado. This is a travel position with a 91-day duration, starting June 29, 2026.

Schedule and Compensation

• Work three 12-hour night shifts per week, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekly pay: $2,233.80

Unit Overview

• Multi Trauma Unit (MTU) with 20 beds
• Patient ratio of 1:4 with a charge nurse free of patients (ratios are estimated and not guaranteed)
• Night shift team: 1 charge nurse, 5 nurses, and 2 techs

Clinical Responsibilities

• Manage highly acute trauma patients requiring ventilators, feeding pumps, IV pumps, wound vacs, specialty beds, suction, and chest tubes
• Demonstrate competency with chest tubes, trauma patients, tracheostomies, and suctioning
• Perform procedures including chest tube placement and bedside bronchoscopy
• Document and communicate using Meditech/CPN electronic medical record system

Qualifications and Requirements

• Current RN license
• Minimum 1 year of acute care hospital PCU experience required
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Preferred: NIH certification and prior Meditech experience
• Ability to function effectively as a team member in a highly acute environment
