RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work on a 36-bed adult surgical unit caring primarily for trauma and acute care surgical patients
• RN to patient ratios: 1:4 during day shifts, 1:5 during night shifts
• LNA to patient ratios: 1:12
• Fast-paced environment prioritizing patient rehabilitation and support
• Minimum 1.5 years of recent equivalent experience required
• Level I Trauma center experience preferred, or several years at Level II Trauma center acceptable
• Required experience with chest tubes, drips (Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, amiodarone), lines/tubes/drains for post-surgical patients
• Must be experienced with trachs/laryngectomies, telemetry, complex wounds, central lines (care, maintenance, and blood draws)
• Common patient diagnoses include spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, orthopedic trauma injuries, hernia repairs, small bowel obstructions, appendectomies, and cholecystectomies
• Unit includes 2 negative pressure rooms
• Required credentials: NH RN License or Compact License with proof of state residency, BLS certification
