RN (Registered Nurse)

Opportunity:

RN - Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM with shift times 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Weekend schedule every other weekend (EOW)
• May be asked to participate in holiday rotation
• Must have 2 years of Stepdown/PCU experience
• Must be comfortable with cardiac monitoring and cardiac drips
• Required to titrate drips including cardizem, amiodarone, nitroglycerin, heparin, dopamine, dobutamine, and angiomax
• Manage 4-6 patients depending on acuity level
• Care for cardiac patients, post pneumonia, post cath lab, seizures, ETOH with CIWA protocols, pacemakers, and more
• Expected to read and interpret telemetry strips, print strips, perform measurements, and identify rhythms
• Must troubleshoot respiratory equipment appropriately
• Floating requirements to any inpatient unit with travelers being first to float
• Dress code requires navy blue scrubs
• Use Cerner charting system
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Must submit copy of unexpired driver's license
• 2 day general orientation plus 1 day with preceptor
• Must reside within 50 mile radius
