Cath Lab Technologist Job in Roanoke, VA

You will work as a Cath Lab Technologist at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, VA. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning June 29, 2026.

Schedule and Compensation

• Work 4x10 hour shifts, 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
• Weekly pay: $2,940
• On-call responsibilities: 7 on-call shifts and 5 late shifts per 6-week period
• One full weekend of call (Friday through Sunday) per cycle
• One Saturday shift for elective cases per 6-week period
• Must be available to return to hospital within 30 minutes when called
• One holiday per 13-week contract may be required

Role Responsibilities

• Support diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures in 6 procedure rooms
• Assist with procedures including left heart catheterization (LHC), right heart catheterization (RHC), percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA), stent placement, atherectomy, temporary pacemaker insertion, Impella, intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), Watchman, and Mitraclip
• Handle advanced procedures including left atrial appendage closures, CardioMems, thrombectomy, and mitral clips
• Operate specialized equipment: IABP, Impella, Penumbra, Rotapro, CSI, Shockwave, laser, OCT, and IVUS systems
• Maintain sterile technique and proper EKG lead placement
• Recognize and interpret dysrhythmias
• Manage isolation precautions, equipment handling, and supply management
• Work with adult patient census of 15–20 per day

Required Qualifications

• Current ACLS, BLS, ARRT(R), or CCI RCIS certification
• Minimum 2 years of cath lab experience
• Prior travel healthcare experience required
• Epic charting system experience
• Proficiency in diagnostic and interventional cath lab procedures using fluoroscopy
