CVICU RN Job in Prescott, AZ

Yavapai Regional Medical Center - West is seeking a registered nurse for their 12-bed cardiac intensive care unit. You'll work 12-hour night shifts on an every-other-week schedule with a 91-day contract starting July 27, 2026. Weekly pay is $2,332.80.

Role Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the CVICU with patient ratios of 1:2 or 1:1 based on acuity
• Float as needed to ICU, PCU, Med-Surg, and Telemetry units across both campuses based on department needs
• Manage common diagnoses including acute myocardial infarction, coronary artery disease, and peripheral vascular disease
• Care for fresh open heart surgery patients directly from the operating room
• Operate and troubleshoot equipment including intra-aortic balloon pump, continuous renal replacement therapy, ventilators, BiPAP, CPAP, Vapotherm, and high-flow oxygen systems
• Titrate critical care drips including dexmedetomidine, propofol, dopamine, norepinephrine, epinephrine, levarterenol, insulin, and nicardipine
• Read and interpret cardiac strips using the Nihon Kohden in-room monitoring system
• Manage dysrhythmias and collaborate with in-house intensivists, charge nurses, and 24/7 house supervisors

Schedule and Requirements

• Work 2 weekend shifts per pay period; scheduling varies based on unit needs
• Holiday shifts required
• Standby/call requirement with a maximum of 3 per 12 weeks
• Unit operates on a 7/7 shift schedule
• Minimum 2 years CVICU experience required
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam with a score of 80% or higher within two attempts prior to contract signing
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• BSN not required
• Impella experience is desired
• Charting in Cerner; navy blue scrubs

Cancellation Policy

• 4 shifts allowed per contract, or 3 shifts if contract duration is under 13 weeks
