Physical Therapist Job in Grants, NM

Cibola General Hospital is seeking a Physical Therapist to join our team in Grants, New Mexico. This is a full-time travel position running for 84 days, beginning May 25, 2026.

Position Overview

You will work 5 days per week on day shifts (8 hours each), providing inpatient and outpatient physical therapy services. Your role will center on patient assessment, treatment planning, and hands-on therapeutic intervention in a hospital setting.

Your Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians
• Administer therapeutic interventions including manual exercises, therapeutic activities, and functional training
• Perform hands-on treatments such as massage, traction, hydrotherapy, ultrasound, and other physical therapy modalities
• Instruct patients on non-manual exercises, ambulatory activities, and proper use of assistive devices
• Direct and supervise treatments performed by physical therapy aides, technicians, and assistants
• Monitor patient progress, document outcomes, and recommend treatment modifications
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for discharge planning and continuity of care
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols
• Participate in professional development activities and mentor clinical staff

Requirements

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program
• Current, valid Physical Therapist license in New Mexico or eligibility to obtain one
• Clinical experience in hospital, outpatient, or rehabilitation settings preferred; new graduates with strong clinical rotations encouraged to apply

Compensation

Weekly pay: $2,376
