CVOR Technologist Job in Silver Spring, MD

You'll work as a Surgical Technologist in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) at AHC White Oak Medical Center in Silver Spring, Maryland. This is a 91-day travel assignment offering 4x10 day shifts with a weekly pay of $2,461.

Schedule and Requirements

• 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday with one variable day off
• On-call requirement: 2–3 calls per week and at least 1 weekend per month (24-hour Saturday–Sunday coverage)
• Must work Christmas week
• Guaranteed 40 hours per week
• Block schedule accommodations available
• Maximum of 1 approved time-off request

Clinical Details

• 12 operating rooms on unit; 2 dedicated CVOR rooms
• Case types: Adults, Adolescents, and Geriatrics—General and Neuro Surgery (required); Cardiovascular (preferred)
• Key procedures include CABG, TAVR, mitral valve replacement, carotid angioplasty, arteriovenous fistula repair, and hybrid OR cases
• Scrub experience required; will not float to sister facilities or outside scope

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of surgical technologist experience required
• Travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Active Maryland or Compact state license at time of submission
• Current certifications: BLS, CST, and either NBSTSA or TS-C (NCCT not accepted)
• Two supervisor references required
• Aseptic technique and specimen handling proficiency
