Description
<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - PCU Stepdown</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM<br>• Every other weekend requirement<br>• Every other holiday requirement<br>• Nurse to patient ratios: 1:4-5, occasional 5-6 on nights, PCU level care overflow 1:3<br>• Must have PCU experience and ability to read cardiac strips<br>• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS<br>• Required to titrate drips including Amio, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitro, Nipride, Lasix, and low dose Dopamine<br>• Responsible for reading and interpreting telemetry strips<br>• Floating requirements to all areas as helping hands, PCU for full patient load, MS for full patient assignment, and some ER holds/boarding<br>• Any color scrubs allowed<br>• 2 twelve-hour shifts of unit-specific orientation (Friday and Saturday of first week)<br>• Epic charting system experience preferred<br>• Care for adult and geriatric patients with cardiac catheterizations, EP studies, pacers, ETOH, Covid BiPap, surgical patients with cardiac history, pneumonia, sepsis, and acute on chronic conditions<br>• Work with respiratory equipment including BiPap, trachs, and airvo<br>• Rotation shifts will not occur more than weekly<br>• First time travelers accepted</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This healthcare facility features a 32-bed progressive care unit specializing in telemetry and cardiac care. The unit focuses on adult and geriatric patients requiring intermediate-level monitoring and care, with modern telemetry equipment and respiratory support capabilities.
