RN - Oncology

Job Details:

• Work 8-hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• No weekend shifts required
• No on-call responsibilities
• No major holidays required
• No float required
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Experience with oncology patients required
• Outpatient ambulatory care or outpatient clinic setting experience highly preferred
• Connecticut nursing license or compact license required at time of submission
• ONS chemotherapy immunotherapy provider card preferred
• Position within coverage pool for medical oncology and hematology oncology
• Answer phone call triages and problem solve to meet patient care needs while working with clinical team
• Work closely with nursing in the chemotherapy infusion room but does not directly cover or administer infusion therapies
• Ability to work in a team environment required
• May be required to lift and restrain patients
• May have exposure to communicable and infectious diseases and risk of injury from assaultive or abusive clients
• Mandatory overtime may be required on an as-needed basis as part of the unit rotation pool to ensure coverage
• Required certifications: BLS, NIH Stroke Scale
