About this role
Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 91-day travel assignment. You will work nights on a 3x12 schedule, with a weekly pay of $2,233.80.
Role and Responsibilities
You will be based in the Respiratory Services department on floor A343 (Main RT department) and float to all critical care units and floors as needed. Your responsibilities include managing adult and pediatric/NICU patient care across multiple units. Patient ratios range from 10 to 25 patients depending on the area. You will work with a variety of equipment including GE R860 Adult vents, Draeger Infant/Peds vents, Newport HT70 transport vent, V60 Non-invasive device, Vapotherm, and Comfort Flow high flow oxygen devices. The facility uses the Cerner EMR system for documentation.
Staffing and Schedule
Night shift staffing includes 12-16 RRTs for adult service lines and 3-4 RRTs for NICU/Peds service lines. You will work a varying weekend schedule with at least 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule. Medium Gray/Pewter scrubs are required.
Required Qualifications
- RRT certification
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
- North Carolina Respiratory License
Preferred Qualifications
- NRP certification
Your assignment begins August 3, 2026. This is a backfill position offering steady night shift work in a hospital with comprehensive critical care and specialty services.
