Medical Technologist Job in Hazleton, PA

LVH - Hazleton, a 150-bed facility, is seeking a Medical Technologist for laboratory clinical work. You will work a 5x8 evening shift on a block schedule with every-other-weekend coverage required (14 weekend shifts per contract). This is a 91-day travel assignment starting November 30, 2026, with weekly pay of $2,562.

Role Requirements:

• 4 years of hospital clinical laboratory experience required
• Travel healthcare experience required
• Laboratory Generalist background with proficiency in Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, and Urinalysis
• Strong Blood Bank background preferred
• ASCP-MLT, ASCP-MLS, or ASCP-MT certification (ASCP-MLT preferred)
• 40-hour orientation period upon arrival

Required Instrumentation Experience:

• Beckman Coulter Automation Line (Chemistry and Hematology modules)
• Iris Urinalysis System
• Stago Coagulation Analyzer

Equipment You Will Use:

• Beckman Coulter DxC700AU, DxI, Access2, DxA, DxH900
• Stago Compact Max
• Iris Urinalysis
• Gem Premier 5000

Key Clinical Competencies:

• Blood Bank procedures including ABO/Rh typing, Antibody Screen and Identification, and Crossmatch procedures
• Manual Differential and Microscopic Urinalysis
• Quality assurance and quality control protocols

You will serve patient populations across all age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. This role offers the opportunity to work in a diverse laboratory environment with comprehensive specimen processing across multiple disciplines.
