ICU RN Job in Pittsburg, Kansas

Mercy Hospital Pittsburg is seeking an RN for a 12-hour night shift position in our combined ICU and step-down unit. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning June 29, 2026, with a weekly pay of $1,971.

Schedule & Hours

• Work 3x12 night shifts per week
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Weekend hours as needed
• Flexibility to float to other units as needed

Unit Details

The unit operates with 12 ICU beds and 6 step-down beds. ICU patient ratios are 1:2–3 depending on acuity, and step-down ratios are 1:4. Tele ICU monitoring operates 24/7 alongside admitting providers. You'll work with EPIC electronic medical records and Spacelab bedside monitors. Support is available from a monitor tech functioning as TeleTech and a unit clerk throughout all shifts. Patient care tech support is provided when census warrants.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate
• Serve as primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders
• Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with the healthcare team

Requirements

• Current RN license
• 1+ years of nursing experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Black scrubs required per dress code
