Physical Therapist Job in Santa Maria, CA

Join Marian Regional Medical Center as a Physical Therapist for a 91-day travel assignment beginning April 21, 2026. You'll work Monday through Friday on 8-hour day shifts with varying start times, earning $2,628 per week.

Your Role

You'll provide both inpatient and outpatient physical therapy services based on facility needs. Inpatient coverage includes med-surg (45–50%), telemetry (35%), ICU, and occasionally ER or pediatrics. Outpatient clinic hours run 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM. A home health option is also available with flexible scheduling and geographical region assignments.

Requirements

• BLS certification required
• General acute care experience including total joints (knees, hips, shoulders) for inpatient work
• Outpatient experience with orthopedic and some neurological conditions
• OASIS experience required for home health option

Facility Details

You'll use the Cerner EMR system. Dress code varies by setting: business casual with collared shirt and nice pants for outpatient; Dignity Health polos (provided by facility) for inpatient. Home health requires business attire with white lab coat. Floor-specific orientation is provided for several shifts.

Schedule and Conditions

Weekend commitment is approximately 3 shifts per quarter (negotiable). You may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment. Common diagnoses treated include orthopedic conditions (65% outpatient), neurological cases, wound care, lymphedema, and pediatrics.
