CVICU RN Job in Mesa, AZ

You will provide direct patient care in the Cardiac Vascular Intensive Care Unit at Banner Desert Medical Center, located at 1400 S Dobson Road in Mesa, Arizona. This is a 12-week travel assignment beginning July 6, 2026, with a schedule of three 12-hour day shifts per week.

Your Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care of CVICU patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing standards
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural needs, and discharge planning
• Review patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data; report abnormal results to physicians and appropriate caregivers
• Formulate and implement individualized plans of care with discharge planning in collaboration with multidisciplinary team members
• Delegate and supervise activities of licensed nurses and other healthcare personnel
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching; revise plan of care as needed
• Document assessments, nursing interventions, and patient responses in a timely and accurate manner
• Participate in shared leadership, precepting, mentoring, and education of facility personnel, patients, and families

Required Qualifications

• Current, valid RN license in Arizona
• BLS certification
• Minimum one year experience in an acute care hospital setting
• CVICU experience within the past 12 months
• Preferred: Two years of CVICU experience with focus on direct open-heart recovery
• Preferred: Experience with Impella and Balloon pumps
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree
• Preferred: Professional certification

You will work a varied schedule including weekends, holidays, and float per department guidelines. Your weekly pay is $2,446.20.
