Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Choose between 36 or 48 hour work weeks
• 13-20 week assignment duration
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Every other weekend requirement
• No call requirement
• Float requirement - may be required to float to main campus (32 minutes away)
• Self-scheduling system
• 24 hours of unit orientation
• Must wear navy blue or white scrubs
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Expected to work Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team during catastrophic events
• Required to work holidays (must work 2 of 3 major holidays)
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Unit accepts first-time travelers
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, Telemetry
• Skills include: Med/Surg, MS/Tele, telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, blood product administration, central line blood draws, IV management, wound care, BiPAP/CPAP management, oxygen administration, and isolation precautions
• Care for patients with diagnoses including diabetes, pneumonia, COPD, sepsis, CHF, UTI, surgical recovery cases, and renal failure
• Must complete pre-start modules (8-10 hours for acute care)
• Maximum 7 days RTO per contract
