CNA Job in Juneau, Alaska

SEARHC Vintage Park in Juneau, Alaska is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to support eye care services for patients of all ages in our optometry department. This is a career ladder position with four levels, offering progressively more technical and independent work experiences.

• Room and screen patients for providers, and perform optical and point-of-care lab testing
• Document patient information accurately and in a timely manner
• Assist patients with optical orders including benefits verification, frame selection, measurements, order entry, payment collection, order verification, and dispensing
• Handle glasses and contact lens dispensing both in-person and by mail
• Perform adjustments, repairs, and warranty replacements for optical equipment
• Assist with inventory management including ordering, cleaning, returns, and frame placement
• Acquire ocular imaging including photos, ocular coherence tomography, visual fields, and topography
• Enter images into the medical record for provider review
• Assist with triage, tracking, and scheduling of referred, recalled, or diabetic patients
• Handle phone duties, directing and answering patient questions
• Work with Referral Care Coordinators and providers to facilitate patient referrals
• Order and maintain office and medical supplies

Requirements: High School Diploma or GED, BLS certification, National MA certification, flu vaccine, and one year of medical assistant experience. You must live at least 50 miles away from the facility address. Start date is no less than 5 weeks after fingerprint cards are received for processing.

Position Details: 5x8 day shift, 91-day assignment beginning May 18, 2026. Weekly pay is $1,752.
