Mammography Technologist Job in Midland, TX

Join Midland Memorial Hospital as a Mammography Technologist on a 91-day travel assignment. You'll work a 5x8 day shift schedule performing mammography services for a diverse patient population including adults and geriatrics.

Schedule & Expectations

• Standard hours: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM with a 1-hour lunch break
• Occasional evening coverage until 7:00 PM, one to two times per month
• Possible Saturday shifts from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM
• No on-call responsibilities

The Role

You'll manage a daily census of approximately 40 patients with 40 visits per day across 2 rooms. Your responsibilities include performing screening and diagnostic mammograms, 3D mammography, needle localizations, stereotactic biopsies, and fine needle aspirations. You'll also conduct digital quality assurance procedures, bone mineral density scans, and maintain radiation safety standards throughout your shift.

Required Qualifications

• Current Texas license in hand
• ARRT M, ARRT R, and BLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of mammography experience
• Proficiency with 3D mammography systems, including Hologic 3D equipment
• Experience with digital mammography and outpatient care workflows

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous travel healthcare experience
• Familiarity with Cerner charting system

This assignment starts September 21, 2026, and offers weekly compensation of $2,917. You'll work directly with the radiology and cardiology departments at a well-established facility committed to quality patient care and staff support.
