Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 38-bed mixed ICU unit located on the 3rd floor of the main building
• Level II Trauma Center serving a variety of patients including medical, surgical, cardiac, and neurosurgery patients
• Care for post-operative open-heart patients and patients requiring VV and VA ECMO, balloon pump, Impella, and CRRT
• Patient ratios of 2:1 or 1:1 depending on acuity
• Day shift staffed with 1 charge nurse and 16-18 staff members
• Perform bedside procedures such as bronchoscopies, GI scopes, chest tube insertions, and arterial and central line insertions
• Provide airway care and frequent drip titrations
• Operate equipment including Stryker beds, Avea ventilators, GE monitors, Baxter IV pumps, Maquet IABP, Vigilance II monitors, Impella, ECMO Maquet Cardiohelp, Medtronic Vital Flow, and NICOM
• Use Meditech EMR system; prior Meditech experience preferred
• Minimum 1 year of current acute care ICU hospital experience required
• CVICU/CTICU experience with care of immediate post-operative open heart surgery patients preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale
