Med Surg RN Job in Anniston, AL

You'll work as a Registered Nurse in the 30-bed Medical Surgical unit at RMC Anniston, caring for adult and geriatric patients with various diagnoses. This is a night shift position on a 3x12 schedule with an option to work 4x12 hours if you prefer. You'll maintain a patient ratio of 1:6 across all shifts and may float to like units as needed. Charge nurse responsibilities may be assigned as the unit requires.

Your clinical responsibilities include:

• IV starts and blood product administration
• Isolation precautions and comprehensive wound care, including wound vac management
• Colostomy and ileostomy management
• Feeding tube care and heparin and insulin administration
• PCA pump operation and PICC line management
• Surgical drain care and monitoring

You'll benefit from a 30-minute required lunch break with the facility's no-skipped-meals policy, ensuring you have dedicated time to recharge during your shift.

What we're looking for:

• Current Alabama nursing license
• Active BLS via AHA certification and fit test clearance
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• Proficiency with the required clinical skills listed above
• NIH stroke scale certification preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Level II trauma experience preferred
• Travel nursing experience preferred

This assignment runs for 56 weeks, starting July 6, 2026. You'll earn $1,944 per week. The every-other-weekend schedule applies to your night shifts, and you may request up to 7 days off during your assignment. You must adhere to the facility's call-in policy.
