Registered Nurse - CVOR

Job Details:

• Circulating position - scrubbing is NOT required
• Shift options include 8 and 10-hour shifts with 40 guaranteed hours per workweek, three 12-hour shifts with 36 guaranteed hours per workweek, or four 12-hour shifts with 48 guaranteed hours per workweek
• Must be available to float to other OR specialties within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals nearby
• On-call requirement of approximately 100 hours per 6-week period, including 1 call weekend per 6 weeks (Friday evening to Monday morning)
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted with Level I Trauma experience
• Travel experience required
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS
• Special procedures include heart and lung transplants, aortic dissections, and ECMO
• Core skills must include at least 3 of 4 cardiovascular competencies, heart and lung transplant experience; endovascular procedures a plus
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
• Patient ratio is 1:1
• Indiana nursing license, compact license, or Indiana temporary license must be in hand prior to start
