Clinical Laboratory Scientist Job in Arcata, CA

Mad River Community Hospital is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) for a travel assignment in Arcata, CA. This is a generalist role in the medical laboratory, requiring strong benchwork experience and current competency across multiple lab disciplines.

Schedule and Duration

• 7 days on, 7 days off rotation
• Wednesday: 8-hour shift from 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Thursday through Tuesday: 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 91-day assignment beginning September 8, 2026

Requirements

• Current California CLS or MLS license
• Blood bank experience required
• TB clearance dated within the past 12 months

Compensation

• Weekly pay: $1,615

You will work night shifts in a community hospital setting, contributing to laboratory operations across hematology, chemistry, blood bank, and other core disciplines. The compressed schedule of 7 on/7 off allows for extended time between work blocks.
