ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM (manager open to 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM with approval)
• Work in General Emergency Department serving combined adult and pediatric patients
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Work every other weekend as required
• Must have 2 years of nursing experience
• Required certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS (non-AHA certifications accepted)
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Must be proficient in Meditech charting system
• Skills required: blood product administration, central line care/management, phlebotomy, starting and maintaining IVs
• Must be efficient with trauma and medical-surgical skills including pediatric skills
• Care for patients of all age groups: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Work in 13-bed emergency department with daily census of 30 patients
• Float within scope to meet facility needs as required
• Expect to work some holidays with rotating team schedule
• Complete lab work within 72 hours of signing contract
• Complete 4-6 hours of non-billable modules during orientation and annually
• Interdisciplinary support available from respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, and transportation
