RN - CVICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 4 total weekend shifts required per 4-week period
• Holiday work based on unit coverage needs
• Patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2 with high number of 1:1 assignments
• Must have Level I trauma experience
• ICU experience required, CVICU experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS, CCRN preferred
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance (2 attempts allowed)
• Pass/fail exam on day 1 of orientation
• Complete mandatory SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
• Must have strong IV skills as there is no IV team
• Experience with IABP and CABG preferred for patient assignments
• Float to ICU, medical-surgical, telemetry units, and possibly other campuses
• Care for cardiac surgery recovery patients, transplant patients, and high-acuity cases
• Work with equipment including IABP, CRRT, ECMO, and perform bedside procedures
• Use Cerner EMR and Phillips telemetry systems
• Must have own vehicle for travel
• Dress code: Navy scrubs, natural hair color, no facial piercings, men must be clean-shaven for fit testing
• 2-day floor-specific orientation provided
