Operating Room RN Job in San Antonio, TX

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a 91-day travel assignment at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital Alamo Heights in San Antonio, TX. You'll work 4 days per week on 10-hour day shifts, providing direct nursing care in a dynamic surgical environment.

Your Role

You will support orthopedic, neurosurgical, plastic surgery, ENT, and robotic surgery cases. Your responsibilities include:

• Assess patients preoperatively and prepare them for surgery
• Monitor vital signs and patient status throughout procedures
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Communicate complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families to the care team
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate tasks to other care providers
• Utilize the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Monitor for side effects and treatment effectiveness
• Educate patients, family members, and caregivers on learning needs and post-operative care
• Practice independently while demonstrating awareness of all relevant clinical aspects

Requirements

• Active RN License in Texas or compact state
• BLS certification (AHA only)
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
• 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred
• EPIC experience highly preferred

Assignment Details

Start date is June 29, 2026. Weekly pay is $2,336. This is a 91-day assignment with 4x10 day shifts. You'll join a collaborative surgical team in a modern hospital setting.
