Job Details:

• Work 8-hour shifts from 10:30 AM to 6:00 PM
• Full-time position
• No weekend requirement
• No on-call requirement
• Blocked scheduling not accommodated
• Dress code: Khaki pants and white polo
• Assess and treat neuromusculoskeletal and cardiorespiratory systems using physical or mechanical means to maintain or restore function impaired by injury or disease
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized plans of care for patients
• Perform and direct administration of all physical therapy modalities
• Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams throughout the care process
• Verify physician orders prior to evaluation and evaluate each patient before administering treatments
• Administer treatments and modalities including therapeutic exercises, hot moist packs, cryotherapy, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, continuous passive motion, paraffin, soft tissue mobilization, gait training, balance training, and functional mobility training
• Maintain contact with referring physicians regarding patient progress and recommend treatment changes as needed
• Assemble and organize home programs for patients and provide education to patients and families
• Direct and oversee PT Assistants and Rehabilitation Assistants during physical therapy treatments
• Maintain accurate records of all patient treatments including subjective and objective information, assessments, and plans
• Complete discharge summaries and send to referring physicians as indicated
• Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities
• Maintain productivity standards and ensure charges correlate with treatment session documentation
• Required: Current New Mexico Physical Therapist licensure
• Required: BLS certification from AHA
• Education: Doctorate, Masters, Bachelors, or Associates Degree in Physical Therapy
