Opportunity:

RN - Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts: 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Patient ratio of 1:4, with 1:5 being a stretch
• Charge nurse available on every shift who does not take patients
• Work on 2nd floor, 25 private-bed unit (23 beds plus 2 Medical Decision Unit beds)
• Provide care for COPD exacerbations, CHF, swing bed patients, amputations, wound care, long term antibiotic patients, some postpartum and pediatric patients
• Central telemetry monitoring with two portable tele monitors
• May float to Emergency Department but only function as task nurse
• Minimum 2 years experience in Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit required
• Previous Critical Access Hospital experience required
• Experience with Meditech Expanse computer charting required
• BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association) required, PALS preferred
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Must have reliable transportation as area does not have Uber or Lyft services
• Use Alaris pumps for medication administration
• Orientation consists of three days classroom training plus one preceptor shift, held every Wednesday
• Manager schedules travelers after staff completes self-scheduling
