PCU Registered Nurse Job in Augusta, GA

Piedmont Augusta Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This is a travel assignment running 84 days, starting July 20, 2026, with a weekly pay of $1,918.08.

Shift & Scheduling

• 3 shifts, 12 hours each, nights
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Major holidays within your assignment period are expected work days
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract; all requests must be finalized at submission

Role Overview

You will care for intermediate-level and medical-surgical patients on a 12-bed unit with a patient ratio of 1:4. Your patient population includes adults and geriatrics with diagnoses such as dysrhythmias, CHF, acute onset stroke, Acute Coronary Syndrome, and Myocardial Ischemia. Patients are admitted via direct admission from clinics, physician offices, urgent care centers, other hospitals, or the Emergency Room. All patients are on hardwire telemetry monitored by the RN in a fast-paced environment focused on patient throughput and patient-centered care.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Blood product administration
• Central line care and management
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Isolation precautions and proper PPE use
• Cardiac drip management (no titration)
• Non-invasive airway management
• Peripheral line care and management

Experience & Credentials

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required
• Georgia or Compact nursing license required
• Epic charting system experience preferred
