<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - CVICU</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work 12-hour day shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM<br>• 13-week contract assignment<br>• Rotating weekends required (4 days per schedule period/4 weeks)<br>• No call requirements<br>• Patient ratios of 1:1 and 1:2 nurse to patient depending on patient acuity<br>• Previous cardiac experience required<br>• Device experience strongly preferred, especially with ECMO, RVAD/LVAD, Impella, IABP, CRRT/Dialysis<br>• Open heart recovery experience preferred<br>• Work with equipment including CRRT, Tablo, IABP, Impella, LVAD, ECMO (VA and VV), RVAD/Centrimag<br>• Use Meditech EMR system<br>• Handle typical procedures: CABG/Valve open hearts, ECMO cannulation, IABP, Impella management, Dialysis<br>• Manage 13-15 open hearts average per week with 2-3 devices on floor at any time<br>• Must be comfortable problem solving independently in high-acuity environment<br>• Ability to receive feedback and provide staff accountability required<br>• Dress code requires navy blue scrubs</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This specialized cardiac hospital features a 14-bed cardiovascular intensive care unit on the second floor with 48 direct reports. The facility is known for its extremely high acuity unit that provides top-notch CVICU experience and high-quality care to critically ill cardiac patients on a daily basis.
