Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Every third weekend required
• Required certifications: BLS, RRT, ACLS
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must be willing to float within service line to meet facility needs
• Guaranteed 3 shifts per 13-week contract
• Trauma Level II experience required; Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Scrub color: Medium to dark gray
• Airway management skills required: Endotracheal tube/suctioning, extubation, nasal airway suctioning, oral airway placement, oropharyngeal suctioning, sputum specimen collection, and tracheostomy suctioning
• Medication administration required: Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Inhaled Flolan, inhaled steroids, Lidocaine, Nitric Oxide (INo), Pulmicort, racemic epinephrine, and Xopenex
• Medication delivery systems: Aerosol setup mask, aerosol setup trach, and metered dose inhaler
• Nebulizer experience required: Hand held, T-piece, trach collar, and ultrasonic
• Oxygen therapy experience required: High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
• Ventilator management required: BiPAP, CPAP, troubleshooting high pressure alarms, and weaning from mechanical ventilation
• ABG interpretation required
• Primary ventilators used: PB840s and PB980; Hamilton ventilators are limited
• Patient population: Adults and geriatrics
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off per contract
