Cath Lab Technologist Job in Des Moines, IA

UnityPoint - Iowa Methodist Medical Center is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist for a 91-day travel assignment in Des Moines, IA. This is a temporary position working days on a 4x10 schedule, with an on-call component that includes one night per week and every third weekend from 7:30 PM Friday through 7:00 AM Monday.

Role Responsibilities:

• Perform scrubbing and circulating duties in the Cath Lab
• Monitor patients during cardiac catheterization procedures
• Float across all Des Moines campuses as needed to support like units
• Work assigned cases on rare weekend occasions based on call schedule
• Support interventional and structural heart procedures

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 18 months of Cath Lab experience
• 24 months of current Cath Lab/Cardiac Cath Lab experience reflected in work history
• Travel experience within the previous 18 months
• ARRT or RCIS certificate
• BLS (AHA) certification
• Scrubbing and circulating proficiency
• Patient monitoring experience
• Trauma Level II experience required; Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Peripheral vascular experience highly preferred
• Structural heart experience preferred
• Valid driver's license
• Skills checklist specific to Cath Lab/Cardiac Cath Lab discipline required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Interventional radiology experience
• Electrophysiology (EP) experience

You will be required to work one to two of the three upcoming winter holidays unless the unit is closed. The facility uses the EPIC electronic medical records system. Assignment begins October 26, 2026, and runs for 91 days with weekly pay of $3,340.80.
