Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical @ Johnston Memorial Hospital

<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - Med Surg</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work 36/36 schedule with rotating weekends and holidays<br>• Maintain 1:7 patient ratios for days, nights, and weekends<br>• No call requirements<br>• Floating required with PCU competencies preferred<br>• 60 hours of orientation with 16 hours non-billable<br>• Required certifications: AHA BLS and NIHSS<br>• Preferred certifications: ACLS, OCN, PALS<br>• Must have 2 years of nursing experience<br>• Previous charge experience preferred<br>• Epic charting system experience required<br>• Community hospital, LTAC, and trauma center experience preferred<br>• Care for patients of all age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics<br>• Unit divided into 2100 (medical/surgical with infectious patients) and 2200 (surgical/ortho with limited infectious patients)<br>• Handle patient diagnoses including ortho/neuro, post-surgical cases, sepsis, heart failure, renal failure, and diabetes<br>• Work with specialized equipment including telemetry and tele-neuro consult processes<br>• Participate in nursing student support and clinical education<br>• Permanent residence must be 100+ miles from hospital service area<br>• One pre-approved time off per contract<br>• Hospital may cancel one shift biweekly without penalty based on census</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive medical-surgical unit with 34 beds serving a daily census of 34 patients.
