ICU - Intensive Care Unit

RN - ICU Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts with 3x12 schedule
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Weekend hours as needed
• Must float as needed to other units
• 1+ years of nursing experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Dress code: Black scrubs
• Work in combined unit with 12 ICU beds and 6 step-down beds
• ICU patient ratio: 1:2-3 depending on acuity
• Step-down patient ratio: 1:4
• ICU beds monitored by tele ICU 24/7 in addition to admitting providers
• Use EPIC electronic medical record system
• Work with Spacelab bedside monitors for both ICU and step-down patients
• Support available from monitor tech functioning as TeleTech and unit clerk 24/7
• Patient care tech utilized when census warrants
• Implement and monitor patient care plans
• Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate
• Serve as primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders
• Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with healthcare team
