Sterile Processing Technician Job in San Francisco, CA

You will work as a Sterile Processing Technician at Sutter Health CPMC Mission Bernal Campus in San Francisco, CA. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning June 29, 2026, offering $1,473.12 weekly pay.

Shift Details

• 5x8 hour shifts, 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Work independently without direct supervision
• May float to other locations if census is low on your home unit

Your Responsibilities

• Clean, high-level disinfect, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
• Perform scope reprocessing and maintain proper documentation
• Handle loaner consignment trays, implants, and trauma equipment
• Support surgical specialties including acute hospital OR, ENT, general, OB/GYN, orthopedics, plastics, urology, bariatrics, endoscopy, laparoscopic, neurology, podiatry, robotics, vascular, and dental procedures

Requirements

• 5+ years of sterile processing experience
• Current CBSPD or IAHCSMM/HSPA certification
• Valid state license at time of submission
• Travel experience required
• 7-year work history verification
• Available for lab work within 3–5 days of signing
• Epic charting experience preferred

What to Expect

You will receive an 8-hour orientation that includes non-billable modules averaging 1–5 hours. This role requires you to work independently on the night shift while maintaining high standards for instrument processing and sterilization across multiple surgical specialties.
