OR RN Job in Dallas, TX

Medical City Dallas is hiring a registered nurse for its Operating Room PreOp and Day Surgery program. This is a day shift position working three 12-hour shifts per week, with no weekend or on-call requirements.

Schedule and Expectations

• Day shift hours (8 AM–8 PM); unit is closed at night
• Three 12-hour shifts per week
• Self-scheduling with flexibility based on unit needs
• Must work 2 Mondays and 2 Fridays per schedule period
• Must be available to work during inclement weather
• No weekend or on-call requirements

Role Responsibilities

• Float between PreOp, Post-Op, and PreAdmit Testing areas
• Manage patient ratios: 1:1 in PreOp, PAT, and Holding; 3:1 in Post-Op
• Perform IV starts and manage IV pumps
• Support procedures including General Surgery, Gynecology, and Orthopedic Scopes
• Operate Meditech EMR system

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Meditech EMR experience
• IV start competency
• Pediatric experience required
• Day Surgery, PreOp, or PreAdmit Testing experience preferred
• Both adult and pediatric experience ideal; adult experience prioritized over pediatric experience alone

Compensation and Assignment Details

• Weekly pay: $1,708.20
• Assignment duration: 91 days
• Start date: June 23, 2026
• Dress code: Royal blue scrubs
