ED RN Job in Newport, OR

Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital in Newport, OR is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department on a rotating shift schedule. This 91-day travel position offers weekly compensation of $2,538, with an assignment start date of October 21, 2026.

Role Overview

You will provide direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency setting, managing patients across the full spectrum of acuity. Your responsibilities include:

• Providing care for patients with a wide variety of needs ranging from non-critical to emergent medical conditions
• Caring for patients with emergent and urgent mental health needs
• Treating patients arriving by walk-in or emergency transport
• Managing critical cardiac and trauma patients, including pediatric patients

Required Qualifications

• Current unencumbered Oregon RN license
• Healthcare Provider Level BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification
• PALS certification

Preferred Qualifications

• CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse) certification
