Med Surg RN Job in Corpus Christi, TX

You will work as an RN on a Neuro/Ortho unit located on the 4th floor of Bay Area Medical Center in Corpus Christi, TX. This is a 13-week travel assignment running 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., three days per week.

Role Responsibilities

• Care for patients with a typical ratio of 6:1, occasionally 5:1
• Manage chest tubes, non-titrated Cardizem and Amiodarone drips, and weight-based heparin drips
• Operate Baxter IV pumps, KCI wound vacs, and SCD pumps
• Document in the Meditech EMR system
• Perform general medical-surgical nursing competencies

Unit Staffing and Environment

• Day shift includes 1 charge nurse, 1 unit coordinator, 3 patient care technicians, and 5 RNs
• Night shift includes 5 RNs and 1 patient care technician

Requirements

• Current RN license
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• Telemetry experience preferred
• Royal blue scrubs required

• Duration: 13 weeks (91 days)

• Weekly pay: $1,743
• Schedule: 3x12 days (7 a.m. to 7 p.m.)
