Endoscopy Technician Job in Rochester, NY

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Endoscopy Technician for a travel assignment at URMC Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. This is an 89-day contract beginning November 9, 2026, offering competitive compensation and the opportunity to expand your clinical experience in a Level 1 facility.

Position Overview

You will provide essential technical support in the endoscopy department, focusing on GI procedures. Your responsibilities include equipment preparation, reprocessing, and procedural assistance while maintaining strict aseptic and high-level disinfection standards throughout all workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, maintain, and assist with equipment during endoscopic procedures
• Monitor sterile field integrity and high-level disinfectant protocols during procedures
• Disassemble, inspect, and identify defective equipment or supplies requiring repair
• Perform pre-cleaning of all endoscopes including inspection, leak testing, cleaning, high-level disinfection, and documentation of needed repairs
• Follow established reprocessing protocols for endoscopes and accessories
• Determine appropriate high-level disinfection methods based on material and manufacturer specifications
• Check and calibrate equipment per departmental protocol
• Perform ambulatory technician duties including vital signs documentation and patient transport as assigned

Requirements

• Allied Health Professional credential
• Minimum 2 years of endoscopy or related technical experience
• Completed at least 1 prior travel assignment
• Proficiency with aseptic technique principles
• High-Level Disinfection (HLD) certification highly encouraged

Schedule and Compensation

Monday through Friday schedule with rotating day shifts and night call requirements. 5x8 schedule. Weekly pay: $1,575.
