Job Details:

• Collaborate with physicians to provide comprehensive patient care plans
• Provide bedside nursing care and carry out medical orders
• Delegate to and oversee various healthcare support staff including Nurse Assistants, Patient Care Associates, and other team members
• Evaluate effectiveness of care plans and patient outcomes
• Assume leadership role in integrating evidence-based knowledge into practice
• Coordinate and delegate nursing care tasks and assignments
• Participate in patient conferences and discharge planning
• Provide patient education and communicate with appropriate resource personnel
• Mentor and precept new employees and students
• Function as team leader ensuring proper patient placement and assignment delegation
• Work every other weekend (every third weekend may be considered)
• Must be comfortable floating to Emergency Department and Step-down units
• 2+ years of ICU experience required
• Travel experience preferred
• Neurosurgical and open heart experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Preferred certifications: TCAR, TNCC, CCRN, SCRN
• Michigan nursing license required
• No on-call responsibilities
