Opportunity:

Diagnostic Imaging - Radiologic Technologist

Job Details:

• Perform multimodality/radiographic imaging procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients in physician office, clinic, and/or hospital settings
• Work under general supervision of a Radiologist for diagnosis of disease and injury in accordance with established protocols
• Accurately order tests from outpatient orders, enter diagnosis codes into EMR, and obtain signed ABNs when necessary
• Ensure correct patient identity using two patient identifiers
• Check majority of images for technical quality prior to releasing patients
• Explain procedures to patients and/or family members to alleviate fears and gain patient cooperation
• Ensure safe and up-to-date working knowledge of all imaging equipment and conduct appropriate radiation safety practices
• Complete routine daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and maintenance of department equipment
• Review department inventory levels and maintain appropriate supply levels
• Demonstrate flexibility in work schedules
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Radiography, Mammography, CT scanning, and operative C-arm procedures preferred
• Strong computer skills with ability to navigate EMR programs required
• Ability to work independently, prioritize, and complete tasks in a timely manner
• Excellent communication and customer service skills required
• Required certifications: Current ARRT (R), Current IEMA Radiography, and BLS
